Ghostly Howls: A Paranormal Fantasy RomanceGhostly Howls: A Paranormal Fantasy Romance by Stephanie Hansen
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A well-crafted paranormal fantasy romance…

Celtic mythology meets American rural life in Stephanie Hansen’s paranormal romance fantasy novella “Ghostly Howls.” Orla and Molly, a heartbroken half-banshee, and a soul-possessing cockle-seller are trapped in a town full of mysteries where they may perish before meeting their true loves. While nobody is ready to have ghosts as next-door neighbors, can Molly and Orla, who have always been shunned by the residents of their town, finally use their abilities in the open to save the people of a town that has rejected them all along? You’ll have to find out for yourself by turning the pages of this well-written fantasy tale. It contains themes appropriate for mature audiences and adult language. Recommended.

The Movement (Time Corrector Series Book 2)The Movement by Avi Datta
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A creative sci-fi adventure that will take you on a mesmerizing journey…

Science fiction frequently investigates questions regarding the possible outcomes of new scientific, social, and technological developments while also focusing on imaginative and futuristic concepts such as advanced science and technology, space exploration, time travel, parallel universes, and extraterrestrial life. “The Movement” (Time Corrector Series Book 2) by Avi Datta ticked all the boxes for me as a mind-bending time travel romantic sci-fi that I thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish. Looking forward to reading more in this sci-fi saga. Highly recommended and a well-deserved five stars from me.

The Doofus and the Divine: The Second Coming

The Doofus and the Divine: The Second Coming… and other things to do over the summerThe Doofus and the Divine: The Second Coming… and other things to do over the summer by Darcy Phillips
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Poignant, funny, and satirical...

For most, nothing will be lost in translation here. The Doofus and the Divine: The Second Coming… and other things to do over the summer by Darcy Phillips is a parody of a biblical concept. It’s cleverly written and witty. This book is a satire, and a good one. It’s an entertaining, page-turning story that kept me engaged from the opening chapter. The duel core of the story is firstly about the friendship between Emmanuel and Oliver and secondly about the Second Coming of the Son of God. Apparently, he shows up in ‘an insignificant speck of a little dying town called Placard, in the boring half of Montana.’ Who knew? An oddball adventure yarn that comes highly recommended and gets a well-deserved five stars from me. Looking forward to reading more in this series.

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

A romantic future in a post-apocalyptic world...

It's the end of the world as we know it, but that doesn't mean that love is dead. Life is harsh in the post-apocalyptic world. The land is scarred by years of war and pollution. The skies are dark, apocalyptic storm clouds block out the sun. But in this dark world, there is still romance. Brandon McCormick's Meat Cute: A Post-Apocalyptic Slice-Of-Life Romance Story packs enough gore that is liberally sprinkled with romance to make this enjoyable, especially for Y/A sci-fi fans. Around the World in 12 Years and 12 Square Meters: Memories and InsightsAround the World in 12 Years and 12 Square Meters: Memories and Insights by Steffen P Russak
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A beautiful love story disguised as a travel memoir!

There is something incredibly compelling about reading a memoir – hearing someone's story in their own words. We learn about their lives, their triumphs, and struggles, and gain a new perspective on the world. In a way, reading a memoir is like taking a journey with the author – learning about their past and how it has shaped who they are today. Around the World in 12 Years and 12 Square Meters: Memories and Insights by Steffen Russak is, at its core, a beautiful love story disguised as a travel memoir!

Overall, memoirs are a genre that allows readers to explore an individual's life story and gain a new perspective. Memoirs are often used as a tool for self-reflection and can provide insights into an individual's motivations, values, and challenges. While memoirs can be difficult to write, they can be ultimately rewarding for both the author and the reader. “Around the World in 12 Years and 12 Square Meters” was a pleasure to read and highly recommended.
